Who we are
Foster Special Instruments ("Foster," "we," "us") is an occupational health equipment, service, and training provider located at 6941 Cornell Road, Suite B, Cincinnati, OH 45242. This policy describes what information we collect through this website and how we use it.
Information you give us
When you request a quote, book testing, contact us, create a portal or training account, or place an order, we collect the information you provide: name, company, email address, phone number, facility address or ZIP code, headcount and scheduling details, and the contents of your message.
We use it to prepare quotes, schedule and deliver services, fulfill orders, provide customer support, and send the communications you asked for. We do not sell your information.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers. Stripe's handling of your information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Employer workforce compliance workspaces
When an employer uses a Foster workforce compliance workspace, its authorized users may provide employee names, work email addresses, job roles, work locations, training or qualification assignments, due dates, evaluator attestations, completion notes, and supporting evidence files. Foster processes this information to provide the workspace, reminders, inspection exports, recovery, and support to that employer.
An employer may connect an authorized HRIS integration to synchronize employee identity, role, location, and active or inactive employment status. The integration preserves inactive employee records and their compliance evidence unless the employer uses the workspace retention or deletion controls. Integration credentials are encrypted in application storage and can be rotated or revoked by the organization owner.
Employers and their authorized users are responsible for having authority to provide workforce information and for limiting it to what is needed for workplace compliance. Do not upload medical diagnoses, treatment records, or clinical documents. The workspace is designed to track clearance status and compliance evidence, not clinical information.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and the Meta Pixel to measure advertising. These tools set cookies and receive standard usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device information). You can limit this with browser controls, ad-preference settings on those platforms, or a content blocker.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in to the customer portal and training area, to remember your quote in progress, and for the analytics and advertising measurement described above.
How long we keep information
Quote, order, and service records are retained as business records for as long as we need them to serve your account and meet legal and accounting obligations. You may ask us to delete your portal account and associated contact information at any time.
Workforce workspace records are kept according to the employer's selected retention settings and any legal hold. The default workspace setting is a seven-year minimum with legal hold enabled. Authorized owners can review retention eligibility, remove eligible attachment bytes after disabling legal hold, or request organization deletion. Some checksum and audit records may remain when needed to document a prior record or deletion. Legal or contractual obligations may require longer retention.
Workforce data security and portable recovery
Workforce roster, membership, integration-credential, and audit payloads are encrypted before application storage. Supporting evidence files are stored as private tenant-scoped objects, and privileged workforce access requires a current account, organization authorization, and multifactor authentication. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
An organization owner may download a separately passphrase-encrypted portable recovery file. Once downloaded, that copy is controlled by the organization. The organization is responsible for protecting the file and passphrase and for deleting outside copies when they are no longer authorized or required.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that operate this site and our business (payment processing, email delivery, shipping carriers, analytics as described above) and when required by law. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Your choices
You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing foster@fosterinstruments.com or calling 513.891.0868. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link; transactional emails (quotes, orders, service records) are sent as part of doing business with us.
If your information appears in an employer workforce workspace, contact your employer's workspace owner first. Foster will assist the employer with access, correction, export, retention, and deletion requests, subject to applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Children
This site is for business customers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date on this page. Questions: foster@fosterinstruments.com, 513.891.0868, or 6941 Cornell Road, Suite B, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
